ADG3300 datasheet clarification

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADG3300

The ADG3300 Bidirectional Logic Level Translator states that "the circuit that drives the input of an ADG3000 channel should have a minimum current driving capability of 36mA".

How is this to be understood?
Does each of the 8 ports really have to be able to supply 36mA or is this to be understood as the total current for all ports together?

Thanks,

Marco
