MAX96717: Data type config

Question

Hi, I'm trying to interface with GMSL2 solutions[MAX96717F-MAX96724F] 
 About [datatype selection to route to video pipeline] setting. 
 How to decode bit5:0 to video format? 
 Is it necessary to config video format (RGB888, YUV, etc.) before data transmission?
