Equivalent circuit of ADuM140E/141E/142E

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADuM140E/141E/142E

Hi,

I'm a DFAE in Japan. Our customer evaluates ADuM140E/141E/142E and wants to see the Equivalent circuits of Logic input/output pin. Could you give us them? If it's difficult for you to do so, could you answer the questions as follows?

Q1. What is the output form on the output side? Push-pull circuit or open drain circuit? There is no description in the data sheet, so please check it.
Q2. Is there a protection diode? Is the circuit shown below available? How much current can flow through the diode due to its structure?

Regards,

Hiroyuki

  • Hi Hiroyuki-san,

The ADuM140E/141E/142E has push pull outputs. There are ESD diodes to the VDDx and GNDx rails on both inputs and outputs.

The absolute max of the ADuM140E/141E/142E restricts the voltage on the pins such that there shouldn't be current flowing through the diodes.

    Jason
