ADN4624 for HDMI signal Isolation

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADN4624

Dear Group Memmebrs and AD team,
We are working on the Camera head(CH) and Camera Control unit (CCU). In the camera head, we use ADV7611 for the transmitter and ADV7612 as the receiver in CCU. The length of cable length is 2 meters. The cable is already validated in other products and working fine till HDMI 2.0. As long we do not use isolation, the system works fine. The camera signals are transferred at 1080p, 60fps resolution. We need isolation between CH and CCU, we have selected ADN4624 based on its compact and suitable parameters. The biasing network component and scheme were used from CN0422 because parameter values are not specified for the ADN4624 HDMI solution. After the use of ADN4624, we were not able to get the image in the display, signals are coming and received by ADV7612 and go to CCU FPGA.  In the same board, if we remove the ADN4624 and its biasing network, things work, which indicates that something wrong with my biasing scheme, values of parts or ADN4624 itself. I am sharing my circuit and I already tried the suggestion given in this Zone, removing some pull-ups and downs, and reducing the value of the caps. I am sure being a complete signal chain from AD, the AD team can help. I already lost one month of trying the experiments. I am sharing the circuit diagram, which is used by me.
Thanks in advance.

Regards

Dr Mahabir

  • Hi Dr.Mahabir,

We are currently working on a design for the ADN4624 1080p circuit. Currently CN-0422 only supports up to 720p using the ADN4654, however it may be possible to use the ADN4624 to achieve 1080p, this is not something we have tested.

Do you have the DDC_SDA and DDC_SCL lines connected and isolated through ADuM1250?

    Regards,
