Getting 1.4 V at input pins of ADuM160N digital isolator when given digital output signal of 4.2 V from microcontroller. Why?


I am using two ADuM160N digital isolators in my PCB design. I am providing digital output signals from microcontroller to the input pins of both the isolator and this digital output signal is common to  input pins of both the isolator.

My design requires that one isolator should be powered OFF and other should be ON. In this case when I measure voltage level at the input pin of isolator it is quite less than expected. I am expecting 4.2 V but I am getting only 1.4 V. Is it because one isolator is not powered? Please help me in this case
