ADUM1400 to ADUM140E

I have been using ADUM1400CRWZ for several years in my product but it is unavailable now.

The ADUM140E0BRWZ seems to be a perfect replacement but I am just worrying about the CE certificate.

The rise and fall times are 2.5ns for both circuits and therefore I assume it the emission should not be affected by the change.

Can you please advice me?

Continuing with ADUM1400CRWZ is also a possibility but according to your homepage it will be available in 2022-09-06 and that is too late.

    Hi Gudjon,

It would be generally expected that the latest generation of standard data isolators (of which ADuM140E is part) would have less emissions. The devices are designed with different architectures and output stages though.

There are many factors involved with emissions testing so its difficult to guarantee the substitution is ok without actually testing. That said, I don't see any specific reason it would not be successful.
