What is the voltage of CAN Bus for ADM3054BRWZ CAN Transceiver IC? and
Why is the two supply provided in mentioned IC (One for Logic Side and One for bus side)?

Hi Kamit,
The ADM3054 is an isolated CAN transceiver. It provides galvanic isolation between the logic (CAN controller) and the CAN bus. Because the two sides are galvanically isolated, there should be independent supplies powering VDD1(logic side) and VDD2(bus side).
The ADM3054's specified supply ranges are 3.0 V ≤ VDD1 ≤ 5.5 V and 4.75 V ≤ VDD2 ≤ 5.25 V per Table 1 in the devices datasheet.
If this application has only one supply available, you might consider the ADM3057E. This device has an integrated isolated dc/dc converter which provides power to the transceiver.

Jason

Hi Jason,
Thanks for replying to my query.
So, according to your answer, the voltage at CAN Bus will be in the range 4.75 V ≤ VDD2 ≤ 5.25 V ?
Correct. That is the required input supply voltage range to power the bus side of the ADM3054.

Jason
Thanks Jason.
