ADuM1220-EP Logic High Output Voltages

Hi,

Ref ADuM1200-EP Rev. B datasheet, page 6:

For the MIXED 5 V/3 V OR 3 V/5 V OPERATION, the typical Logic High Output Voltages are given as 3.0V and 2.8V for their given test conditions. Should this actually be similar to the non EP version, i.e. "VDD1 or VDD2" and "(VDD1 or VDD2) - 0.2" such that is also covers the 5V VDD2?

Many thanks,

Jamie

  • Hi Jamie,

The 'Typ' column values in the datasheet are given for general guidance at 25C operation. The 'Min' column provides the guaranteed performance over all specified conditions of the device for the Logic High Output Voltage parameters.

A VDDx-0.2V drop at a fixed voltage is more specific. 2.8V being approximately the lowest Vol in the 3.0V<VDDx<3.6V range at 25C sets the expectation of how the device operates at 25C too.

     Regards,

    Jason
