LTM2883

Question

I am trying to use the LTM2883 for a bidirectional digital interface. One side uses 0 to 3.3V logic and the other side uses 0V to -7V logic. I am new at this, can anyone explain or help me on how to wire this up. The direction is configurable but maintains direction for a long length of time. 2 outputs and 1 input. or 2 inputs and 1 output. It seems like I can use the I2C type hookup.

Hi Keith, 
 If you need additional bidirectional channels, you can consider the ADuM1250 or ADuM2250. 
 Let me clarify the abs max though. The integrated isolated dc/dc converter of the LTM2883 can indeed provide a +/-12.5V supply. But the digital I/O cannot interface with 7V logic directly. That will violate the abs max for the I/O pins.
