    I have made the circuit shown in figure 12 of the datasheet (basic unity gain), with a 2k load. When i see my output i only measure a slew rate of 0.5V/us instead of 6V/us.     Slew rate is a large signal parameter.  Change the 2k to zero ohms so you don't have an R-C input
    
 
    and use a signal generator with a very fast rise time, say -10V to +10V in 500 ns or less.
