ADuM4122 evaluation Kit as SiC Mosfet Reliability Study

Hello Farhan,

The board is intended to test the part driving a single power switch. The part could be used to drive paralleled devices but the two output pins are not meant to run two mosfets in a half bridge setup for instance. The LTSpice model of the ADuM4122 is available. You may try updating LTSpice if the model is not available to you. For a double pulse setup to test SiC mosfet, ADuM4121 driver(s) will be a possible option.

Yes, you could use the ADuM4121 eval boards as part of a double pulse test setup.

I do not have a document detailing a double pulse test setup with the ADuM4121. But the procedure is similar to what you would do with a MOSFET or IGBT as seen in this link -  https://www.wolfspeed.com/downloads/dl/file/id/150/product/0/sic_mosfet_double_pulse_fixture.pdf 

Typically, two power switches and thus two drivers would be used in a half bridge configuration but you could use a single ADuM4121 gate driver similar to what is described in the link.

The ADuM4122 operates between 3.3V to 6.5V supply on the primary. In this range, as long as logic input thresholds are met, the part should be operational with input from either the DSP or signal generator for use in your testing. In any case, ADuM4121 can operate at lower VDD1 voltage of 2.5V and hence should work.
