I have some questions about ADuM3190 REFOUT capacitance.
The datasheet said the maximum capacitance is 15pF.
Why can not we use larger than 15pF?
What will happen if we use larger capacitance?
Example larger than 20pF.
Can somebody help about this?
One of the customers is trying to do a shipping inspection, but it has been observed that the capacitance of the probe exceeds 20 pF and that the output becomes incorrect when probing is performed.
Also, do you use a low-capacity measurement system for shipping inspection at ADI?
Do you have any advice on probing?
I think that the insertion of dumping resistance is one means, but please contact me if there are others advise.
Kawa-san: I asked the designer and this is the response:
The reference buffer is an closed loop amplifier with internal miller compensation, so the output capacitor will degrade phase margin of the buffer. The larger capacitor might cause instability of the reference voltage.
