LVCMOS33 to RS422 transceiver

Hi all,

In my FPGA project, I want to convert 8 channels LVCMOS (3.3V) signals to RS422.

Lower signal transmission delay ( < 50 ns), higher output driver ( >20mA ) and ease of use are basic requirements.

Could anyone please give some suggests for my project. Which chip meets the requirements I described above?

Thanks.

  • Hi,

One option may be to use two of the LTC1688 or LTC1689, which are very fast (100 Mbps) quad drivers, that support 3.3V operation. The LTC1688 has one enable for all four drivers together, and the LTC1689 allows two drivers at a time to be enabled/disabled together.
