ADM2687E 2 layer PCM

Hi. 

My name is Dmitry, I'm ADI rep. FAE.

My customer (annual volume is 200.000-300.000 pc/year) asked is it possible to implement ADM2687E on 2 layer PCB like ADE2587E (UG-916 ) to reach the same radiated emissions?

    Hi Dmitry,

    Similar techniques can be used with ADM2687E compared to ADM2587E, although the emissions are a bit higher with ADM2687E due to the different pinout. For a two layer board, ferrites can be used between Visoout and Visoin, and between GND2 and any PCB ground (which can be minimized to reduce antenna effects). If the application allows it, a high voltage discrete capacitor can be placed between GND2 pins (inside the ferrites) and side 1 ground on the PCB.

    Our new low-emissions isoPower can also be used to easily pass Class B limits without stitching capacitance, e.g. combining ADM2484E with the new small 8-pin ADuM6028 (-5 model released, requires 5V on Vddp; note Viso = 3V needed for ADM2484E Vdd2)
