Hi
The EVAL-ADIN2111 has a center tap at T1, to which C98, R82, and C103 are connected. According to simulations using LTspice,
there is no difference in AC characteristics whether C98, R82, and C103 are present or not.
Are C98, R82, and C103 necessary?

Hi NKokubo131 ,
As you have mentioned the other thread (https://ez.analog.com/industrial-ethernet/physical-layer-devices/f/q-a/593414/mdi-components-10baset1l-adin2111-eval-adin2111d1z)
C98, R82, C103 provide common-mode termination through the center tap and help to provide EMC immunity. We do recommend to keep them if you are using a transformer with a center-tap.
Kind Regards
Olivier
Hi
Thank you for your reply.
What problems might arise if a 350uH transformer without a center tap is used?

Hi NKokubo131 ,
As stated in the shared thread (https://ez.analog.com/industrial-ethernet/physical-layer-devices/f/q-a/593414/mdi-components-10baset1l-adin2111-eval-adin2111d1z),
The EVAL-ADIN2111D1Z doesn't have a transformer with a center-tap while the EVAL-ADIN2111EBZ has one, however regarding performance, both the evaluation board designs ensure compliance with the10BASE-T1L standard. The difference in components does not degrade the performance.
Kind Regards
Olivier
