ADN1200 overflow/underflow opeartion

Question

Hello 
 
 ADIN1200 has the fucntion of MAC Interface FIFO Overflow/Underflow Interrupt. 
 Could you teach me when is this interrupt genrerated ? 
 I think that this overflow interrupt is generated when we input a data to full of FIFO and underflow is genrated awhen we read a data from empty of FIFO. 
 Is my understanding correct ?

Hi, 
 Your understanding is correct. 
 FIFO Overflow occurs when the FIFO buffer is full, and new data is being written to it before space is available. FIFO Underflow occurs when the FIFO is empty, and data is being read from it when there is no data to process.
