Thanks for reaching out.
The correct information is that the pin is PULLED DOWN by default, and the reference to a pull up resistor in the description will be corrected in the next revision of the datasheet.

Would it be worth reporting other mistakes in documentation or are they well known already?
There are mistakes in tables 33...36 (bit indexes ending on even number in each table because ADDR12:0 indexes are wrong in tables 33, 34, 36 and bit 71 duplicated in table 35).
