Network Interface module RAPID-NIEK-V0004

I have loaded the MBS_demo_cfg.load using bootloader on my Network interface module.  I then used the NI_Test_IO.exe. but nothing is appearing after " Initializing module to use basket 1000". Attached here is the screenshot of it. I was expecting the DHCP server to assign an IP address to it. I have connected my Network interface to the wifi router. I have attached a photo of the error

  • Hello,

So when using NI_Test_IO, one of the things that needs to be supplied is a -u for the COM port in use. Modify the arguments you are supplying as shown in the screenshot to match the following.

    Instead of "NI_Test_IO comX"

    use

    "NI_Test_IO -u comX"

There is another potential thing to consider in that NI_Test_IO will not handle a COM port number above 9 right now.

Please try out the suggestion as shown and let me know how it works.

    Thank you very much.

    Best Regards,

  • I executed the above-mentioned command with com 7 and that was the port confirmed through the device manager. The output on the command prompt was :

    C:\Analog Devices\Network_Interface_ModbusTCP-Rel0.0.8\HostComponents\NI_Test_IO\Release>NI_Test_IO-u com7
'NI_Test_IO-u' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

  • Hello,

OK I think I understand what is going on from here.  The line broke in your reply so I didn't quite catch on to this.

    "NI_Test_IO-u com7" should be "NI_Test_IO -u com7".

If this does not fix the issue for you, please provide your email and I will reach out and assist you further.

    Thanks and Best Regards,

  • I have attached the image of the result for the execution of  "NI_Test_IO -u com7". It is stuck at basket initialization. Please reach out to me at alokkum@vt.edu

  • Hello,

I will reach out to you in email. Please try one more thing before we begin that dialogue offline.

Please try pushing the "RESET" button the evaluation kit before running NI_Test_IO with the arguments you have posted.

    Thanks and Best Regards,
