FIDO5200 TSN Evaluation Kit Enquiries

We have done some preliminary evaluation on the eval kit.
Some of the findings:

  • It seems that only IEEE 802.1AS time synchronization and 802.1Qbv scheduled traffic standards are made available in the TSN webserver gateway configuration.

How about features from other standards? Is there any new software package for the fido5000 switch?

  • When transferring data between two TSN ports on the network interface module (between two eval boards), it seems that it is always fixed at Queue 0 (Q0) (we evaluate this by changing the base period to see which Queue is affected, when base period <5ms, the transfer rate will be affected, which means Q0 is utilized). Is this valid? Is there any way that it can be assigned to other Open Queue?

  • Apart from the web server (TSN Gateway configuration page), is there any other way that the API of the fido5000 can be accessed?
  • We have found that data transfer between two host ports (in the case of two eval boards) is very slow at about 1Mbps, perhaps due to stream translation. Is this a valid observation? Any reason?
  • Is the TSN evaluation kit supports IEEE802.1d/w/s (STP/RSTP/MSTP) protocols?

So that TSN eval kit as you have pointed out only supports 802.1AS and 802.1QBV.

The current TSN gateway software you have is what we offer for that platform.

We are currently developing other products that will support a more wide range of TSN feautures.
