One has to build a digital 90 degrees phase splitter circuit giving an in-phase (LO_I) and a quadrature phase (LO_Q) square LO signals phased out 90° one to each other. Among the following 4 circuits, there is one which is not performing that role.

Question: can you localize it and tell why?

  • Hi  , the principle of data-clock race issue is a well-known item by the digital circuit designers. When a bloc of linked memory cells have to be triggered at the same time, some cells can receive the active clock later than others (due to routing delays), The only way to be 100% sure is to ensure a cell can be triggered only when its previous cell has NOT received its clock before.
