2R, indeed :) (why do I see the responses before even having responded..?)
The last two resistors (each 2R) are in parallel, thus can be replaced by R. this is in series with the horizontal R, creating 2R,
which is in parallel to the 2R of cell n-1. So in the limit we have a resistance of 2R, regardless of the number of cells.
RA-B = 2R
At the last chain link the two 2R resistor networks are parallel. This results in R. Another R in series results in 2R again. This is parallel to 2R of the chain link in front of it. This results in R again and so one.
At the first chain link (left side) we have the same situation. Therefore RA-B = R + R = 2R .
