Apparently it's no longer possible to insert a picture or link when providing help by answering a question in the SigmaStudio forum (please see image)
As you can see, only basic text editing options are available. No longer any way to add pictures, etc. I've tried another computer with a different browser, same result. Yesterday the editor for PMs had the full menu, now as of this morning it's also missing the advanced features. This appears to be affecting only me, since JoshuaB reports that his edit menu remains normal.
A picture is worth a thousand words -- and many members like to see sample project files attached since they contain data otherwise invisible. Without this capability to insert images and files it's virtually impossible for me to provide meaningful help for other members. Please investigate, let me know how it happened, and fix it for me.

Sorry you are experiencing trouble with the upload, happy there is a workaround. My chrome version is 84.0.4147.125 same as yours and I have not seen this issue as of yet. Are you experiencing this…
I hope you are well! Apologies for the delayed response. I am unable to replicate your issue and can see the insert option in each test I have performed. Are you still experiencing the issue?

Thus I could only specify a URL, not directly upload my diagram. I worked around this by uploading the diagram to my image hosting service (ImageShack), and linking from there. This has happened before, at which time I also posted pictures through ImageShack -- and shortly after that, the Insert menu disappeared altogether as described in my first post above. JoshuaB had also suggested I just drag the desired image into the editing window -- this worked for him (of course) but not for me. And before any of these present problems I ran into difficulty when attempting more than two pictures in a post, which I worked around by splitting my answer into multiple posts.
So I'm having to work around repeated, intermittent problems which no one at ADI can duplicate. This suggests to me some sort of permissions issue which evidently needs more intense troubleshooting than simply trying out the suspect functions, finding that they work and moving on.
Edit 8/15/20: The menu I see now includes the "picture" icon circled below, which works as intended (and is much more convenient to use than the previous insert method). Still no attachments or link buttons, although I can copy and paste a link.
While answering additional questions this morning, I have seen all three versions of the menu: the bare one shown in my first post, the one with the photo icon above, and the full menu I can see below here. I never know which one will turn up next. Perhaps the issue is on my end -- so far I've tried two PCs and browsers and I'm open to additional suggestions.
Just now I found this page in my EZ notifications. How did this get here? Has my account been hacked? Is it causing my other problems?

Thanks for your help! I'm happy to report that presently, the edit menu and other features are working normally. I appreciate the behind-the-scenes work y'all do to keep EZ running smoothly.

I see that you are in a role called TEM Authors. This role allows for Creating/Editing/Moderating "The Engineering Mind" Blog. This is why you see the moderation window behind the scenes. Those are comments posted against The Engineering Mind. You have the ability to approve or deny these comments

I'm using Windows 10 Pro v. 1903. Today the Upload option was missing with Google Chrome Version 84.0.4147.125, but it worked fine on the same computer after switching to Microsoft Edge. So it's something I can live with and I'm sorry to make such a fuss.

This was the thread where the problem had first appeared. This time, switching browsers didn't help. Other areas including here and in PMs are still OK.
Today, two different Windows 10 computers with two browsers didn’t show the full insert menu — but I was able to insert an image to answer an EZ question, using a iPad. This isn’t a viable workaround since I need to sneakernet the material from PC to iPad. What else can I try to troubleshoot this issue?
