Iam interested in implementing a MIMO 2*2 scenario where i will use 2 fpgas (1 as the transmitter and 1 as the receiver) where each one will be connected with one AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ. So the setup will be : FPGA_1 + AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ_1 =Base station , FPGA_2 + AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ_2 = User EquipmentMy questions are the following:1)Is this doable?
2)Is it better to use one AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ and implement both the transmitter and the receiver in one FPGA?
The AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ allows for up to 2x2 MIMO. The AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ allows for up to 4x4 MIMO.
If 2x2 is sufficient for your project the AD-FMCOMMS2/3-EBZ is the recommended solution.
