ADRV9009-ZU11EG RF-SOM expected operating temperature

After a quick browse through the Linux driver. I observed that the default temperature is read from the FPGA, and that there is the option for a user space app to control the speed.
Not sure if the second one is implemented as a script. Waiting for a comment from someone from the Linux team.

Hello, many thanks for the fast answer... the discussion you mentioned do not gives any advice about what is the temperature one should expect  when the fan speed control mechanism is working properly.

Since I built the Linux Image using ADI layer of Petalinux, I would expect that the fan speed control daemon (if any) is automatically built and started at stem boot.

Although the main question remains unanswered: is 75 Deg a "normal" operation temperature for a ADRV9009-ZU11EG RF-SOM with fan cooling? or is this a little to high  (ambient temp is 25 Deg)?

Hello, I did some verifications ... axi_fan_control is built by default when the "build all ADI driver petalinux kernel option" is enabled.

I've the fancontrold daemon running as a background process on the target. I monitored /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon3 pwm1 and input_temperature1 at the initial warm-up and I see the pwm1 value to switch as documented in https://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/docs/axi_fan_control.

I guess the 75 Deg. of temperature the two adrv9009 chips can be considered as normal and acceptable.

Please inform me if this isn't the case.

75°C is below the maximum operating temperature.
"Can it be considered acceptable?" for the reference design, yes.
For you. It depends on your application...
In the datasheet you get the temperature vs performance specs. This is why the other thread you get the check the datasheets suggestions.
