A customer is using the DAQ2 reference design, they would like some information on how to enable clock recovery using the util_daq2_xcvr IP core.
He would like to synchronize their local sampling clocks to a remote transmitter’s sampling clock.
Does ADI have a design example or information on how to do this?
util_daq2_xcvr is just an interface core and provides no algorithmic IP.
Remote tracking needs to be implemented by end-users since it is specific to the waveforms used.
We do have a modem implementation that does clock and frequency correction but that is specific to a QPSK waveform. They are buried within this design: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms2-ebz/software/matlab_bsp_modem
These are basically textbook implementations.
