I have downloaded hdl-hdl_2018_r2 and attempted to build project fmcomms5\zc706 using the Makefile.
I receive the following message:
lib was unexpected at this time.
make: *** [lib] Error 255
I don't believe the issue to be project specific, since I received the same message for other projects I tried.
I am working in Windows 10 environment with Vivado 2018.2 and make which is installed by SDK at C:\Xilinx\SDK\2018.2\gnuwin\bin
Any guidance would be appreciated.
You can try out this method: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/docs/build#xilinx_auto_tcl_build
It will help you to pack all the libraries, then you can just build your targeted project manually, by sourcing the system_project.tcl file.
I wanted to try that method, but adi_make.tcl does not exist in the release branch (hdl-hdl_2018_r2) I downloaded.
You should use hdl_2019_r1 is the latest release. But if you are constrained by the tools to use hdl_2018_r2.Copying the adi_make.tcl script, from hdl/projects/scripts(hdl_2019_r1 branch) to your branch, should do the job.Andrei
I was able to get Cygwin installed and build hdl_2018_r2 successfully.
