A Super User with a sharp technical mind and an even sharper sense of curiosity, he brings something rare to the EZ community: the drive to understand not just how things work, but why they matter. I asked him a few questions, and the conversation was not disappointing.

First Stop on the Foodie Trail
When we asked about the ultimate free meal, Gilbeys answer was delightfully ambitious. "I would go to a restaurant where all food from all countries is available so I can experience authentic dishes from around the world," He shared. "I can totally say that I'm on a world tour with food."

A Concert for the Ages, Past and Present
Gilbeys dream concert is just as expansive as his cultural appetite. Think of a high-energy, unforgettable, and spanning generations. A lineup that brings past and present musicians together on one stage. "How cool it would be," he said. We're already imagining the setlist.
Slowing Down Time Literally
Given one superpower for a day, Gilbeys wouldn't choose flight or invisibility. He chose time manipulation. "I'd make it a lot slower so I can do so many things, spend more time with friends and family, explore a new hobby, enjoy quiet moments," he explained. "What's important is to truly enjoy every moment and make everything count." Profound, practical, and deeply human.

The Introvert-Extrovert Balance
Self-awareness is a gift, and Gilbeys has it in full. "I genuinely enjoy staying at home, relaxing, and recharging in a quiet, cozy space," he shared, "but when I do go out, I really enjoy it, connecting with people, sharing conversations, being part of the moment." That beautiful in-between: the ambivert who shows up fully once they're in the room.
Skydiving is On the List
For the ultimate adventure, Gilbeys has his sights set firmly on the sky. "There's just something so exciting about that mix of fear and thrill," he said. "It's one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that really push you out of your comfort zone." We're rooting for that jump!
Innovation with Purpose
Career goals? Gilbey isn't just thinking about the next milestone. "Before I retire, I want to drive more innovation in my field, deliver something that advances technology and improves how people experience it, especially in critical areas like healthcare." To get there, he is continuously learning, contributing to the team, and building connections across different levels to understand the bigger picture.
The Power of Asking "Why"
What is one of the most resonant pieces of advice Gilbeys offered? Ask more questions and ask them early. "It's not just about technical skill. It's about understanding the bigger picture and the customer impact." He would start over by collaborating sooner with cross-functional teams and developing communication skills right alongside technical expertise. Words we'd all do well to carry with us.
Team Achievement Worth Celebrating
Gilbeys proudest professional moment was driving the adoption of AI and automation to simplify a key task and presenting that work to the broader community. "What made it even more rewarding was that it was a team effort," he reflected. "Our collaboration played a big role in turning the idea into a significant achievement." That collaborative spirit is exactly what makes EZ community thrive.
Still Learning Everyday
Currently, Gilbeys is exploring the use of AI, on how to effectively utilize and maximize it and finding ways to integrate it into daily tasks. Still in the learning phase but already thinking ahead. That's the mindset that defines a Super User.
And for anyone just starting out? His advice is simple and powerful: "Don't hesitate to ask questions. Even the simplest ones can lead to valuable insights and deeper learning."
