Building Together: One of the Faces Behind Our Community Success

We're excited to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible individuals who make our community thrive. We are launching a new series called the Spotlight series, focusing on our EZ Super User program. This program is designed to recognize and reward our top contributors who not only share their expertise but also foster a spirit of collaboration and positivity. And our Get to Know You Session program offers a casual, fun way to learn more about the people behind the usernames.

Whether you're an engineer, a student, or a career professional, these profiles will inspire you and deepen your connection with our community. Join me as we get to know some of our amazing members!

Meet Our Featured Member

Let's start with one of our Super Users, David Thibodeau,  .

I had the opportunity to ask him four questions, and here are his responses.

Dream Getaway

If you could take a month-long break from everything and travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

“I have traveled so much but I guess there are a few places I have not been to. Australia is a big one. I would probably include New Zealand while I am in that area of the world. Both regions have such a storied history and rich natural beauty and diversity that it would be great to go see. Then the local culture is fascinating. Although I would need an interpreter to help me communicate with the Aussies!!  (LOL)”

Dream Concert

If you could attend any concert, past or present, who would be the headliner?

“Now this one is tough because I have already been there, done that!!! I saw Led Zeppelin in what ended up being their last concert in Knebworth, England, in 1979, just before the drummer passed away. These guys were SO GOOD!!

Then another one is Yes. I saw them in concert in Hartford CT in 1976 I think it was? Might have been 1975.

I have seen Ringo Starr perform in NH, and I have seen Paul McCartney perform a rehearsal for the opening ceremony for the Olympics in 2012 in London. So I guess my dream concert would have to be The Beatles.”

Career Time Machine:

If you could go back in time and give advice to your 20-year-old self just starting out in your career, what would it be?

"Keep doing what you love and follow your dreams!! However, that is exactly what I did so I have no regrets and would change nothing. It is also part of what makes me good at the job I am doing and to support the customers on EngineerZone. I have a broad array of experience so I can relate to many of the customers."

Professional Superpower

If you could switch roles with anyone in your industry for a day, who would it be and why?

“This is a really tough one. First, defining the industry is tough. So, if I broaden the electronics field to include physics, then I would love to swap with Nikola Tesla. Just to get a bit of what he had going through his brain would be fascinating!!

His understanding of magnetism and electricity transcended us mere mortals!”
