Looking for the formulas to convert xWATT_ACC and xVAR_ACC Accumulator Register contents to the actual Wattage and Reactive power.

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADE9430

We are using the ADE9430 on our current project to make various power measurements.

In particular we are reading the xWATT_ACC and xVAR_ACC  Accumulator Registers to determine the Wattage and Reactive power. (NOTE: x represents the Phase A, B, or C) .

  • We are trying to determine the Conversion Formula we need to apply to the contents of the xWATT_ACC Accumulator Register to convert it to the actual Wattage.
  • We are trying to determine the Conversion Formula we need to apply to the contents of the xVAR_ACC Accumulator Register to convert it to the actual Reactive power.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - mike

  • I forgot to add this to my previous post.

I had found the Conversion Constant in the Spec and wondering if it this is the correct formula to use for the xWATT_ACC and xVAR_ACC accumulator Registers?

If these are the correct Conversion formulas That I need to use can someone explain what the following inputs to the formula represent and where I get them from?

    • Inominal
    • Vnominal
    • I% full-scale
    • V% full-scale power codes

    Thanks  - mike
