Hello,
We have a reference meter that uses the ADE7880 IC to measure various power quality parameters. The reference meter’s gain (voltage and current) and phase (power factor) are calibrated using ADE7880 register values. It provides correct measurements under all load conditions.
Now, we calibrated a new meter using this reference meter. However, the problem is that when we calibrate the current at a low load (such as 1A or 2A), the new meter gives correct values only for low loads (1A to 3A). When the load goes above 10A, the new meter shows incorrect current values (e.g., 6A or 7A instead of the actual 10A).
Similarly, when we calibrate the new meter at a high load (10A or 12A), the readings are correct at higher loads. But when a low load is applied, the meter shows incorrect values (for example, it shows 3–4A when the actual load is only 1.5A).
We performed calibration of the new meter using the Gain registers of the ADE7880.
Please let us know how we can sort out this issue.
Thanks & Regards
Suman
