ADE7953 Neutral Current Measurement

Question

Hello 
 
 ADE7953 have second input channel for Neutral Current Measurement. What is the function for Neutral Current Measurement? If no measure neutral current, have any side effect? Thank you.

Hi Patrick, 
 The Neutral current measurement is used for tamper detection. If B > than A or A > B then something is being tampered. A should equal B. channel B can also be used a second metering path Va * IB this may be useful in a branch monitoring case where you have a wall outlet with 2 sockets or 2 currents using the same voltage. 
 You do not need to use the second channel B if you only need channel A . Just make sure your register setting are correct for cf and you only use channel A for accumulation if you are using CF.
