Dear Sir I am using ADE7763/7753 I want to know how to calculate the power factor as this ic don't give power factor directly
If I do the ratio of LAENERGY AND LVAENERGY than I got value more than 1, which is not correct
Please help

pg 35 of the ade7763 datasheet shows the scaling of active to va. www.analog.com/.../ADE7763.pdf

pf = Lactive / (LVA / .848)

"2. Yes I am getting some offset ate VRMS and IRMS both which i am unable to remove by CH2OS or CH1OS so i just left it and calibrate Voltage and current with my meter and at all points it is shown OK"
Use IRMSOS and VRMSOS for RMS offset calibration. Not CH2OS AND CH1OS
Current channel as a HPF to remove DC offsets for the RMS calculation. dc offset correction is not needed unless you are not using highpass filter
The voltage channel does not. You can improve performance sometimes for active power by adjusting the voltage channel offset CH2OS.
Set CH1OS and CH2OS to 0x0 adj channel 2 offset register can cause active energy problems.
Are you using the temp sensor? If you are try not doing this does the active energy improve?
See if you energies are now linear. If better the errors were caused by the CHOS registers. Use IRMSOS and VRMSOS to calibrate RMS values.
You could have a cross talk issue on the PCB.

Hi
I am unable to read waveform register properly
It's too much fluctuating even i did not apply any signal
Please help
