ADE7755 Implementation

Question

I want to use ADE7755 for measuring power of an appliance/bulb. Under application notes I found a circuit for implementing a watt-hour meter using AD7755.

 I am new to MCU and this is my first project ever. I can't decide on the values of resistors and capacitors to use. What formula to use? What factors should I consider?

 The diagram you're referring to shows the use of a ADE7755 as part of a tutorial on energy measurement. This tutorial appears to be adapted from a PowerPoint presentation, which limits the detail that can be shown. For example, the diagram includes no component values, does not show the chip's pin numbers, how the ADE7755 gets its operating power, and how to set up the chip's registers and calibration. On the other hand, the app note provides these necessary details. The tutorial, the app note and the data sheet together imparts the knowledge you'll need to pick your component values -- many of which depend on the voltage and current ranges you wish to measure.  Please check out application note AN559 , which describes a complete watt-hour meter using the ADE7755 
 http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/application_notes/AN559.pdf 
 It shows a schematic on Page 2, and the design equations for figuring values of the external components begin on Page 3.
