# I DONT KNOW HOW TO CALCULATE UNIT BY SELECTING FREQUENCY

i really dont know how to calculate energy kwh data. if counter counts 30 pulses in 30 seconds then its frequency will be 1. and counter=energy then energy=30. so 100impulse/kwh is there. so how to calculate energy data. please help me i really dont understanding how to calculate. also CF pin is 16 * F1. so what to understand? how i will CALCULATE energy is counter will count 16* original value? please help

• Hi,

Could you please provide some more details, what part are you using? What is you nominal voltage and current reading?

When using the CF pulse output to measure the energy consumption, first a meter constant has to be chosen such as 1600 imp/kWh or 3200 imp/kWh. Once that is chosen then the CFDEN register has to be adjusted base on you particular system to give that X imp/kWh. Once that is done, say you set it up for 1600 imp/kWh, this means that every 1600 impulses corresponds to 1 kWh of energy consumption measured by the meter.
