I have a technical question about hardware issues:
Analog inputs get damaged soon in testing, first 1voltage input got damaged and then all of the inputs did and I lost AVDD, all happened in my lab in normal conditions,can a pair of 1N4148 protect inputs by this issue?
Just to help me understand how the part got damaged, when the input went up to 1V instead of our 500mV max input that is when the damage happened? If you have it available, I would be interested in seeing a schematic of your inputs.
You can certainly use diodes to protect the inputs. Although, we have seen that diodes can have quite poor performance over temperature, meaning that at 85C, the diode can begin conducting. This then causes THD problems when at the higher end of the dynamic range at 85C, just be aware of this issue.
