I am working on a PQM system and to lighten the development process, use an 8-channel logic analyzer to track the SPI protocol between the evaluation board and the ADE7880 chip, everything is fine, I understand, but there are two records that are read in initialization, whose addresses are: 0xEC09 and 0xEC06. These records do not appear on the map of records, because it reaches 0xEC01, someone would know how to tell me the function of these records please.
These are hidden registers used to determine which part is installed on the board. This board can 5 different parts installed and the eval software works for all of them with functions disabled depending on the IC. This is not needed under normal operation.
This is not the best way to do this. The eval software does a lot of spi communications that may not be related to the specific function you are trying to understand.
The datasheet and the communications section are really what you should use. The Eval software SPI will just confuse you.
Either way you should only be concerned with any reads or writes to documented registers.
