ADE7763 swap bit question

Hello all:

I have Ch2 Vrms error reading from  none sine wave voltage.  But someone in this forum found a solution by swap to Ch1(current) because this chanel has a built in electronic Integrated part  that will handle the none sine wave signal.

My question is 
1. Can I permanent swap it 
2. How about Irms if it swap to Ch2  in this case (none sine wave signal). Irms will get the same error thing or not?  because Ch2  has no integrated part .
3. Active and Apparent power still keep on working or stop during changing swap bit ?
4. Active and Apparent Power still accurate in case of none sine wave signal?. because the fact that Ch2 always not true RMS   because Power = Vrms x Irms.

    1. Can I permanent swap it  

    - Well if you will swap it permanently, make sure that the current sensor is attached to channel 2, to make sure that it will enter the current datapath, please be careful with this because you have configured your current datapath already for current measurement with current calibration constants.


    2. How about Irms if it swap to Ch2  in this case (none sine wave signal). Irms will get the same error thing or not?  because Ch2  has no integrated part .

    -The integrator only works with Rogowski coils or di/dt sensor.. Your current channel with follow the datapath of the voltage channel, thus it will use voltage calibration constants and voltage processing.


    3. Active and Apparent power still keep on working or stop during changing swap bit ? 

    It will be measured as is.


    4. Active and Apparent Power still accurate in case of none sine wave signal?. because the fact that Ch2 always not true RMS   because Power = Vrms x Irms.

    -no it is not, because you changed only the datapath, and not the location of your sensors.
