i have been making the ADE9000 based arduino shield PCB. for current transformer to use as a current sensor. what is specification need to follow?
I have SCT-013-000 Split core current transformer
turns ratio= 2000:1
Primary current: 100A
secondary current: 50mA.
what is burden resistor value i need to use.
We have few suggested manifectures
To interface ADE9000 to a CT, you need an antialiasing filter (the same fc is used in the voltage channel) and a buder resistor Rb. In the Arduino Shield, this structure is already in place:
Here fc is around 7kHz Rb is 0805 SMT resistos of 5.1Ω , 0.1W. In order to use your CT and take advantage of entire input range of ±0.5 Vpeak, you should replace the burder resistors (R1 to R4, R10, R11, R19, R20) with another SMT resistos of 3.535Ω
For more information you could consult the user guide UG-1082
Thanks for your reply, this solved my problem.
"In order to use your CT and take advantage of entire input range of ±0.5 Vpeak"
Should not the entire input range be ±1 Vpeak? ADE9000 datasheet, figure 56 or features on the first page.
Thanks in advance,
