while i am working on ADE7880 I have discovered a bug. How to inform AD manufacturer with that bug.?

Sorry for my delayed replay. The problem that i have faced is the time between voltage phases depends on frequency and this should not be happen. After thinking i have found the time between phases is measured by zero crossing successive detection and dividing this time over a fixed period. This fixed period is the period of nominal frequency. This leads to false reading when changing password.

• The time between voltage phases is dependent on line frequency. The angle between phases should be stable but the time between zero crosses changes. Our angle measurement take line freq as a variable so you need to know the line Frequency to do this correctly. You can use the period register to get the line freq for the calculation. Why is your line freq changing ? How much is it changing?

• Sure i am reading the period register and the result is perfect.
let me explain the problem in other words. if the line freq is 50HZ the phase between voltages are 120 degree. this is perfect.

if i applied 48 HZ, the phase changes according to it.   By the way the period register reflects the applied frequency which is 48.

so the attached equation use a fixed line frequency not the updated one.
