Question:
I Applied the latest update to my VisualDSP++, but wish to roll back to the previous update, or undo the update that I have applied. Is this possible?

Answer:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to 'undo' the application of an update, nor is there a way to roll back to a previous update of VisualDSP++. If you wish to return to an earlier update, you should install the VisualDSP++ 5.0 Base Release, then apply the required update to that installation.
Note that VisualDSP++ has, since VisualDSP++ 4.0, supported multiple discreet installs. This allows you to install multiple instances of the VisualDSP++ tools on the same PC. This gives you the option, when updating, to either create a new installation of the VisualDSP++ 5.0 Base Release - in a new directory - to which you can apply the latest update, or you can take advantage of the "Clone" feature of the VisualDSP++ Installer.
To use the clone feature, go to 'Start: All Programs: Analog Devices: VisualDSP++ 5.0: Maintain this installation' and select "Clone this installation". There are 'Advanced' options during installation to set the Start Menu Path, and to instruct the installer to copy the "license.dat" file from your existing installation. Once cloned, you can apply the latest update to this installation.
