It should be possible to mix objects produced with different versions of VisualDSP++, as the C Run-Time Model has not changed in any way that would present a problem. As long as project linking occurs under a version of VisualDSP++ the same as, or later than, that under which the objects were built there should be no problem including objects built under earlier releases. For example, a DXE should be built under VisualDSP++ 5.0 when it will link together objects built with VisualDSP++ 3.0 and objects built with VisualDSP++ 5.0.

NOTE: This only applies to DXEs built in the ADI ELF format, and so does not apply to the versions of VisualDSP for SHARC and 21XX prior to VisualDSP++ 1.0.
