After reformatting my hard-drive and reinstalling VisualDSP I get the error "A valid license could not be found" error, and can no longer run VisualDSP.

When your hard drive is formatted and Windows re-installed, the Machine ID for your PC is changed. As the Validation Code used to activate your license is tied to the Machine ID, your new hard disk requires a different validation code from the one you have at present.
To register for a new validation code, please install your VisualDSP++ Serial Number(s) on the new hard disk and register them online at the address below. You should then install the Validation Code when it arrives the next day via e-mail.
Web Form: https://www.analog.com/processors/tools/register.
If you receive a message about "...attempting to register more than the allowed number of times...", please request a registration history update via e-mail at: processor.tools.registration@analog.com and include the Serial Number(s) in question.
