Hello
The Visual DSP++ 5.1.2 license file C:/Program Files (x86)/Analog Devices/VisualDSP 5.1.2/VisualDSP++5x Software License Agreement Ver 20140424.pdf explains that Visual DSP++ is to some degree a derivative work of the book 'C Interfaces and Implementations: Techniques for Creating Reusable Software' by David R Hanson.
I was wondering which parts of Visual DSP++ are derived from this book. In particular, are any parts of the redistributable libraries derived from the book? Or is just the non-redistributable development environment and compilers?
It matters for our own software licensing.
Kind regards
David
Hi David,

Hi David,
The routines from Hanson's book are used in the proprietary Blackfin/SHARC compiler itself, and in the compiler driver.
They are not part of the runtime libraries that get linked into applications built using the compiler.
