ADSP BF533 EZ-KIT Lite usb driver for windows 10 64 bits

Hi,

I am not able to connect ADSP BF533 EZ-KIT Lite board to PC using Visual DSP 5.1. The error is 80048015 (open device driver failed).

I have installed manually the USB driver and the OS indicated that it is working properly.

There is a new USB driver for windows 10 64 bits?

Thank you.

    Hello,
The Error 0x80048015 Open device driver failed indicate that there is a problem with the emulator driver on your machine. Can you please try again to install the attached drivers manually.
Please find the attached emulator drivers and place them into below path:
    <installation path>:\Analog Devices\VisualDSP 5.1.2\Setup
Below is the procedure for manually uninstall your driver and manually install new ones:
1.Go to Windows Device manager and uninstall the emulator driver from the CrossCore Tools.
2.Go to Windows\system32\driver folder and delete the WmUsbIce.sys and WmUsbIce64.sys files.
3.Go to Windows\inf folder (note this may be hidden) and search for files named "oem**.inf" and delete the files which contains the string "89982A59-5EEA-45aa-AF97-52EC351018C2" inside the file. These all of which are Analog Devices inf files, and must be deleted to ensure that your system does not pick up the existing drivers.
    4. Disconnect USB cable from the Target Board and PC.
    5. Power down, then reboot the PC.
    6. Connect USB to Target Board. At this point Windows should detect the new hardware.
    7. Try installing the driver manually by browse to the location of the ..\Emu_Drivers.
Also, please try replace the attached libusb-1.0.dll in the below VisualDSP++ directory. Before replacing can you take a backup copy of the original "libusb-1.0.dll" file that already available in the below directory and drop the new one and let us know how you gets on.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Analog Devices\VisualDSP 5.1.2\System
Please note that, unfortunately we do not support any version of VisualDSP++ on windows 10. Also there are no plans to upgrade VDSP++ for windows 10.
Visual DSP 5.1.2 is supported on the following operating systems:
    • Windows XP Professional SP3 (32-bit only)
    • Windows Vista Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate SP2 (32-bit only)
    • Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate (32 and 64-bit)
    • Windows 8 Pro or Enterprise (32 and 64-bit)
While we have had some customers report success using VisualDSP++ in Windows10 with the Windows "Compatibility Mode", this is not something we have tested nor that we support. We can only support customers using the aforementioned supported operating systems for VisualDSP++.We hope that this gives you a usable environment, but must stress that this is neither tested or supported. If you continue to encounter issues, we would ask that you use a supported operating system.

  • Dear friend, I tried that. Not a chance to make it work on windows 10 V2004. Have you found another way to make it work as well? Thank you

  • Go to Windows Device manager and uninstall the emulator driver from the CrossCore Tools.
    >> Couldnt find it.

    >> There are no files with this string in it... only OEMxx.inf...

Really need to make this work... Thanks
