EVAL-ADXL345Z-DB ARM C/C++ Compiler Issue

Dear Analog Support:

    I was so excited about getting the EVAL-ADXL345Z-DB as it had just about everything I needed to prototype a product that I am developing. However, when I launched the Keil uVision IDE Tool I get the following error:

"The ARM (t)c/c++ Compiler has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Then I am asked the usual prompt of do I want to send a report to Microsoft or not. I am not sure where the report would go other than an informational blackhole. After uninstalling and re-installing the Keil tool for the EVAL-ADXL345Z-DB platform, the issue still persisted. I am running on Windows XP, but is there a separate step to install the C/C++ compiler or is there something else that I should try other than uninstalling and re-installing the tool?

   I am able to download code to this nice Dev Board using the "uploader" tool.

Regards,

Manny

  • Hi Manny-

    The purpose of the EngineerZone is to provide communities that support Developers using ADI Direct Digital Synthesis Products, Embedded Processors and DSPs and Video products.

    We are planning to add communities that cover other ADI products over time, but currently are unable to answer questions about these products, such as the accelerometer you mention, on Engineerzone.  I would suggest submitting your question to the Analog Devices support team in your region.  You can find the appropriate support contact on our website at:

    Thanks,
