Example that uses Linux on ARM core and DSP cores?

Is there an example code project that uses Linux on the ARM core and passes audio buffers to and from the DSP cores? I wanted to be able to use the Linux distro to run JACK and do audio processing which could then be passed onto the processing in the DSP cores.

  • Hi Shaikath,

we have something internal that we have been working on lately for the ADSP-SC594 processor. We are currently in the process of cleaning this up before we make it available.

This uses a new framework that treats the SHARC cores as ALSA devices under Linux. We should have this available some time during November.

We will be backporting to the other boards, but I don't have a date that I can provide at this point.

    Regards,

    Dave
