Debug isn't working in Linux CCES Application

Hi,

so before you connect to the application that is running under Linux on the ARM core, you need to launch that application to debug within the GDB client, on the board.

This is described in section 8.2.2 of the manual. Can you confirm that this is running.

If you are only wanting to print output, rather than debug, you can do this by simply SSH'ing to the board and running the application by hand.

Thankyou for the response Actually i deployed the linux in the board for this i followed yocto project-SC573

I want to run as well as debug but the thing is when i run the code have to copy the binary file to board then have to run.

In the SSH itself i faced problem that's what i jumped into debug mode even that also showing error.

In Run mode, when running this command(scp binaryfile username@172.21.3.130:/path)

issue:- ssh: connect to host 172.21.3.130 port22: connection refused

Could you check the actual IP of the target? Does the command 'ifconfig' running in SC573 give the same address as you mentioned?

In addition, Do you have openssh installed in your target?

If not, try building your yocto image by updating the local.conf file

IMAGE_INSTALL_append += " openssh packagegroup-core-ssh-openssh openssh-sftp-server"

Hi Prasanth,

Yes it's showing the IP address of the target board(172.21.3.130) but i couldn't get you what you have suggested in the second one.

How to build a image with the help of that line and could you please give the appropriate path of local.conf filesince i am having 5 files.

I believe after running 

$source setup-environment
You could have seen "build" directory created.


You need to add the below line under build/conf/local.conf

IMAGE_INSTALL_append += " openssh packagegroup-core-ssh-openssh openssh-sftp-server"

And run bitbake.

are you running adsp-sc5xx-minimal image?
