boot device1 sharc cores 1 and 2 using linkport

Hi,

I am using adscp-sc589 ezkit and need some info about the link port.Basically I have two adsp-sc589 chips on board referred to as device0 and device 1

I want to boot device1 sharc cores 1 and 2 from the ARM linux on device 0 by moving .ldr file over the link port but have not been able to find C code examples to do it.

Can you please advise how to do it and share the C code example , the link port driver has been enabled in linux kernel on ARM core 0 (device0).

I believe remoteproc cannot be used to boot sharc cores on device1 so we have to use link port.

just want to add that I have the ldr files ready for booting device 1 sharc cores and just need to stream the ldr files from Linux(Device 0) to device 1 via linkport

Hi Nibzy,

Kindly find the solution section in the below link, which has explanation and sample example codes with the Hardware reference manual, which was pointed to use linkport.

Hi,

We are trying to do the same to use the Linkport driver to boot Device 1 from linux on Device0 via the .ldr file method.

The supplied Linkport driver does not seem to be capable of doing this (ada_lp.c), can you please advise if there is a different driver used to boot device 1.

The referenced code in the below is for SHARC and not linux.
