 elf-simulator test cases regress for program stopped with signal 11 on trunk head now. 
 A lot of gcc case fails like:

 i think the stack may have overflowed ... i left in a sim change where the stack 
 defaults to the scratchpad instead of the top of memory

 ive changed back the default stack pointer

 Yes, the sim gcc test goes back to normal now. So close.
