With my linphone-based app spurious sudden shifts in the loop delay of digital speaker output to digital micro input, referenced to the echo cancellation interface points may occur.
The problem with these unwanted events is an audible readjusting of echo cancellation.
The CPU-load under these circumstances is normally below 35%, so I'd expect no problems.
I'd guess that ALSA resources are responsible for this behaviour. Can I tweak kernel properties to get rid of these spurious shifts?

Which release do you use? 2009R1.1 or SVN trunk? What blackfin chips and sound codec do you use?
What's your problem? echo can't be cancelled? Or echo cancellation works well, but you still hear some at the beginning?
Could you detail you steps to replicate the problem?
